Privacy Policy: For Our Users
Thank You For Using Dreamify!
We built Dreamify to help you live the life of your dreams.
Our intention from day one is to ensure that you and your dreams are highly protected and secure, and that you have a safe place to bring your dreams to life. We are designing and building every feature with your utmost privacy and security in mind. We know that dreams are deeply personal at times and sometimes need to be shared with only a few people at a time, before expanding to a broader audience.
All of our Privacy Policies are designed to make sure that you feel confident and comfortable using our service, and that you trust us when we say, we are doing everything in our power to ensure that you have a great experience using our service. To make Dreamify the best possible experience for you, we need to personalize it to you. We do this through showing you personalized content and advertisements we feel are relevant to you and your life, based on information we collect from you and third parties.
We only use that information when we have a proper legal basis for doing so.
Information You Share With US
We require certain information to provide our services to you. For example, you must have an account in order to upload or share content on Dreamify. When you choose to share the information below with us, we collect and use it to operate our services.
1. Basic Account Information
When you sign up for, or use, Dreamify, you voluntarily share certain information including your name, email address, phone number, photos, comments, and any other information you give us. Your display name and username are always public, but you can use either your real name or a pseudonym. If you choose to create a professional account, you must also provide us with your professional category, and may provide us with additional information, including street address, contact email address, and contact phone number, all of which will always be public. You can also choose to share your precise location using your device settings or through photos. We will still use your IP address, which is used to approximate your location, even if you don't choose to share your precise location. You will also have the option to share other information about yourself such as your gender, age and preferred language. If you connect your Facebook, Google or other third-party accounts to Dreamify, we use information from those accounts (such as your friends or contacts) to improve your Dreamify experience. This is dependent on the privacy policies or settings for those accounts.
2. Technical Information
When you use a website, mobile application or other internet service, certain internet and electronic network activity information gets created and logged automatically. This is also true when you use Dreamify. Here are some of the types of information we collect:
Log data. When you use Dreamify, our servers record information (“log data”), including information that your browser automatically sends whenever you visit a website, or that your mobile app automatically sends when you’re using it. This log data includes your Internet Protocol address (which we use to infer your approximate location), the address of and activity on websites you visit that incorporate Dreamify features, searches, browser type and settings, the date and time of your request, how you used Dreamify, cookie data and device data.
Cookie data. A cookie is a small piece of data that is stored on your computer or mobile device. Like many websites, we use cookies and similar technologies to collect additional website usage data and to operate our services. Cookies are not required for many parts of our services such as searching and looking at public profiles. Although most web browsers automatically accept cookies, many browsers’ settings can be set to decline cookies or alert you when a website is attempting to place a cookie on your computer. However, some of our services may not function properly if you disable cookies. When your browser or device allows it, we use both session cookies and persistent cookies to better understand how you interact with our services, to monitor aggregate usage patterns, and to personalize and otherwise operate our services such as by providing account security, personalizing the content we show you including ads, and remembering your language preferences.
Device information. In addition to log data, we collect information about the device you’re using Dreamify on, including the type of device, operating system, settings, unique device identifiers and crash data that helps us understand when something breaks.
Clickstream data and inferences. When you’re on Dreamify, we use your activity—such as which pictures you click on, dream boards you create, and any text that you add in a comment or description—along with information you provided when you first signed up and information from our partners and advertisers to make inferences about you and your preferences. We may also infer information about your education or professional experience based on your activity when you link your account to accounts you have with third parties like Facebook or Google.
3. Our Partners And Advertisers Share Information With Us
We also get information about you and your activity outside Dreamify from our affiliates, advertisers, partners and other third parties we work with. For example:
Online advertisers or third parties share information with us to measure, report on or improve the performance of ads on Dreamify, or to figure out what kinds of ads to show you on or off of Dreamify. This includes information about your visits to an advertiser's site or purchases you made from them, or information about your interests from a third-party service, which we might use to help show you ads.
How We Use the Information We Collect From You
We want to help you live the life of your dreams. To accomplish this, we use your information to improve the experience in a number of meaningful ways including:
Build algorithms that recommend the most important dream to you.
Recommending inspirational posts, pictures, or comments that we feel will bring you daily bits of inspiration.
Respond to your questions or comments.
Making Dreamify more safe and secure for you.
Work with law enforcement and keep Dreamify safe. We may get requests for account information from law enforcement authorities like the police or courts. To find out more about how we respond to law enforcement requests, please see our Law Enforcement Guidelines.
Help your friends and contacts find you on Dreamify.
Review your messages on Dreamify to detect activity that poses a risk to the safety of you, our community and/or members of the public.
Advertise Dreamify products and services to you on other sites.
Send you updates and news by email or push notification, depending on your settings.
Decide which ads to show you. We customize the ad content we show you by identifying your interests based on your onsite and offsite activities, as well as by using information we receive from ad partners or other third parties. Where we use cookies to identify your offsite interests, we’ll get your consent where we need to. Where ad partners or other third parties share information with us about you, we rely on the consent they already obtained.
Transferring Your Information
Dreamify is a worldwide service. By using our products or services, you authorize us to transfer and store your information outside your home country. The privacy protections and the rights of authorities to access your personal information in such countries may not be equivalent to those of your home country.
See the section for EEA Residents to learn more about data transfers to and from that region.
How You Can Control Your Information
Our goal is to make it easy for you to make the best decisions regarding your data. If you have a Dreamify account, many features have been built into settings to help you have as much control as possible over your data. Such features as:
A simple to use Profile that is easily edited and customizable.
My Dreams section where you can add dreams that are relevant to you, and that you can keep private or share with friends and family.
Close your account at any time. When you close your account, we’ll deactivate it, remove your Dreams and boards from Dreamify and delete your account data. Please note that there may be legal reasons for us to keep your data, such as if we receive a law enforcement request asking us to preserve data. We may also retain certain information in our backup systems for a limited period of time, or as required by law.
How We Will Work With You
We want to make the process of managing your data easy and rewarding. Below are just some of the ways that we do our best to help make our service easy to use.
1. Request access to the information we collect and hold about you. We'll usually share this with you within 30 days of you asking us for it through our Help Center.
2. Have your information corrected or deleted. You can update your information in your profile or delete your data by closing your account.
3. Object to us processing your information. You can ask us to stop using your information, including when we use your information to send you marketing emails or push notifications. If you opt out of receiving marketing messages from us, we may still send you updates about your account, such as when someone comments on one of your Dreams.
4. Have the information you provided to us sent to another organization, where we hold this information with your consent or for the performance of a contract with you, and, where it's technically feasible for us to do so.
5. Request more details about the information we collect and how and why we use and share it.
We will not discriminate against you if you choose to exercise your options related to your personal information. We work to be clear with you about your options and the consequences of exercising certain options.
You also have choices available to you through the device or software you use to access Dreamify. For example:
The browser you use lets you control cookies or other types of local data storage.
Your mobile device lets you choose how and whether your precise location, photos, contacts and other data is shared with us.
To learn more about these choices, please see the information provided by your device or software provider.
How And When We Share Information
If you allow us, we will share your dreams and inspirational content publicly. Furthermore, we will share information related to your dreams with our partners through APIs (basically a technical way to share information quickly). For example, a partner can study what their most popular Dreams are or how their Dreams are being shared on Dreamify by using a Dreamify API. We also share your information with:
Other services, at your direction, to enable you to sign up for or log in to Dreamify, or when you decide to link your Dreamify account to those services, like Facebook or Google, or when you publish your content on Dreamify to them. For example, if you choose to publish your Dreams to Facebook or Twitter, then information about that content will be shared with Facebook or Twitter.
Services we use to market Dreamify to you on sites and apps other than Dreamify, such as Facebook Ads, Google Marketing Platform, Microsoft Advertising, LinkedIn Advertising, The Trade Desk and others from time to time. You can opt-out of sharing with such advertising services in your settings.
Online advertisers and third-party companies that we or they use to audit or improve the delivery and performance of ads or content on websites and apps (for example, through Google Analytics). This includes us sharing the Dreams or ads you were shown on Dreamify and whether or how you engaged with those Dreams or ads, or other information about your activity on Dreamify. Learn more about how we share information with online advertisers.
Third-party companies, service providers or individuals that we employ to process information on our behalf based on our instructions and for the purposes described in our Privacy Policy. For example, we share data with security consultants to help us get better at identifying spam. Some information we acquire may be collected by third-party providers on our behalf.
Law enforcement agencies or government agencies. We only share information if we believe that disclosure is reasonably necessary to comply with a law, regulation or legal request; to protect the safety, rights, or property of the public, any person, or DreamitLists; or to detect, prevent, or otherwise address fraud, security or technical issues.
Our wholly-owned subsidiaries and affiliates. If we were to engage in a merger, acquisition, bankruptcy, dissolution, reorganization, or similar transaction or proceeding that involves the transfer of the information, we would share your information with a party involved in such a process (for example, a potential purchaser).
How Long We Keep Your Information
We keep your information only so long as we need it to provide Dreamify to you. This is also the case for anyone that we share your information with and who carries out services on our behalf. When we no longer need to use your information and there is no need for us to keep it to comply with our legal or regulatory obligations, we’ll either remove it from our systems or depersonalize it so that we can't identify you.
Our Policy On Children's Information
Our services are not directed to children, and you may not use our services if you are under the age of 13. You must also be old enough to consent to the processing of your personal data in your country (in some countries we may allow your parent or guardian to do so on your behalf).
Residents of EEA
If you have any questions about our data processing activities, the data controller you should contact Support@Arazas.com. You can also contact our Data Protection Officer at Support@Arazas.com.
If you think that we haven't complied with data protection laws, you have a right to lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Commission in Ireland or with your local supervisory authority.
Because Dreamify is a worldwide service, we may transfer the personal data of EEA residents to a country outside the EEA. When we transfer information from the EEA to a country that doesn't provide an adequate level of protection, we’ll only do so under appropriate safeguards to protect your information, like standard contractual clauses.
Changes To This Privacy Policy
We may revise this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make a change to this policy that, in our sole discretion, is material, we will notify you within Dreamify.com, Dreamify for iOS, or Dreamify for Android, via a Dreamify owned and operated Dreamify account (for example @DreamifySupport), or by sending an email to the email address associated with your account. By continuing to access or use the Services after those changes become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised Privacy Policy.
